Grassy areas, disturbed sites, and cracks in rocks. Widespread, mostly Sydney area and ACT.
Annual or sometimes perennial herb, prostrate to sprawling, stems to 0.4m long. fleshy stems, leaves, and sepals. Leaves alternating along the stems to almost opposite each other, 0.5-3 cm long, 5-15 mm wide, hairless, tips blunt, sometimes notched. Flowers with 4-6 yellow or greenish petals united at the base, each 3-7 mm long, single or in 2-30 flowered clusters. Some flowers apparently not opening. Flowers most of the year.
