Wet and dry forest, woodland, and heath. Ranges between west of Jervis Bay and the Kings Highway.
Shrub to 2 m tall. Stems sparsely to moderately hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 1.5-3.4 cm long, 0.8-1.8 mm wide, linear, cylindrical with a groove on the upper surface, tips pointed, surfaces smooth, both surfaces the same colour. Flowers 8-13 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, standard petal yellow to orange with red striations on front and back, wings yellow to orange, keel yellow to red. Bracteoles linear, inserted at the base of the calyx tube. Flowers in dense clusters. Flowers Spring. Pods sparsely hairy, smooth.
