Woodland and heath. Ranges and tablelands north of east of Goulburn. Coastal in the Sydney area and north towards Gosford.
Sprawling shrub with wiry stems snaking through surrounding vegetation. New shoots moderately hairy. Leaves alternating along the stems, clustered towards the ends of the branches, 1–1.6 cm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, often appearing linear because of the thick rolled down margins, bases stem-clasping; tips with a prominent mucro. Flowers with 5, sometimes 6, petals each 4–5.5 mm long, white with a mauve tinge, mauve to purplish outside. Flowers in clusters of 4–8 flowers, on stalks to 3.5 mm long. Flowers mainly late spring.
