Subalpine to alpine grassland. Mainly Kosciuszko National Park, the mountains to the north, and the ACT.
Dense, compact, cushion-like perennial herb. Stems to 0.12 m long, hairless. Leaves opposite each other, 0.2-1.3 cm long, 0.3–0.9 mm wide, keeled, curved, hairless; tips with a small abrupt point; margins very narrow, membranous, warty, rarely with minute teeth to wavy. Flowers green, tubular, with 5 sepals 0.4–0.8 mm long, overlapping at the base, and 0 petals. Stamen 1, enclosed within the calyx, falling early. Flowers paired. Flowering: Nov–March.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
