Where found

Forest and woodland, often on disturbed sites. Mainly coast and ranges. Occasionally ACT, the mountains to the west, and Kosciuszko National Park.

Notes

Shrub or perennial herb to about 1.8 m high. Hairless, usually glaucous. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3–14 cm long, 8–40 mm wide, and relatively thin, surfaces hairless, glaucous, margins toothed to entire, some leaves stem-clasping. Flower heads with 6–9 yellow 'petals' each 6–15 mm long, and yellow centres about 3–6 mm in diameter, with about 30–50 florets. Flower heads behind the 'petals' cup-shaped or bell-shaped, surrounded by 12–16 appressed bracts. Flower heads in about 10–30 flowered clusters. Flowering: spring–autumn.
