Weed of farming and agricultural land. East and north of Goulburn, mostly north of the Hume Highway. Coast, ranges, and tablelands.
Introduced annual or perennial herb, sprawling, stems sometimes to 2 m long, frequently rooting at the nodes. Fruit fleshy. Stems hairless to sparsely hairy, slightly sticky. Leaves alternating along the stems, 3–5 cm long, 10–20 mm wide, deeply 3-lobed, both surfaces almost hairless. Flowers white, to 10 mm in diameter, star-shaped, with 5 lobes. Flowers in 4-10 flowered clusters. Flowering: spring–autumn. Berry dull yellow-green, round, 4–5 mm in diameter.
