Damp areas in woodland, and wet heath. Coast, ranges, and tablelands.
Tufted perennial herb to about 0.75 m high. Leaves crowded at the base of the plant, 5–50 cm long, 0.8–2 mm wide, almost cylindrical to cylindrical, tips blunt. Flowers pink, mauve, purplish, or white, with 6 'petals', each 5–9 mm long. Flower clusters about 20-40 flowered. Flowers all year.
