Where found

Usually found close to urban areas and near old farm houses. Roadsides and other disturbed sites, disturbed bushland, grassy areas, rocky areas, and near streams. Canberra. Occasionally elsewhere.

Notes

Introduced shrub to 5 m tall. Stems hairless, glaucous-green, cylindrical, finely ribbed, somewhat fleshy. Leaves alternating up the stems, lost after a few months, 1-4 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, hairless above, paler and silky below, margins entire; tips rounded. Flowers fragrant, 20-30 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 yellow petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, in clusters of 5-15. Flowers Spring to Summer. Seeds and leaves poisonous.
