Moist areas in dry forest, stream banks, and drying swamp flats. ACT, tablelands, and Western Slopes.
Annual or ephemeral herb to 0.15 m high, usually more or less fleshy, hairless. Leaves sometimes clustered near the base of the plant but not in a rosette, usually scattered or alternating up the flowering stems, 0.1–0.4 cm long, 1–3 mm wide, thick. Flowers whitish to pale pink, or white with pink markings, 1.5–2 mm long, 1–4 mm in diameter, with a short tube and 4 petals, and a hinged column sensitive to movement 1–4 mm long, arising from the centre of the flower. Flowers 1-6 or more up the stems. Flowering: October–December
