Where found

Forest and stream banks. Coast and ranges north of Wollongong.

Notes

Woody climber, stems to many metres long, often flattened in cross section. Fruit fleshy. Hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, 5-24 cm long, compound, with mostly 3 leaflets each 4–15 cm long, 20–70 mm wide, tips pointed, surfaces hairless, both surfaces dark green, upper surface glossy, margins coarsely toothed or the teeth sometimes reduced to hard points. Male and female flowers on different plants. Flowers cream to greenish, with 4 petals each 2–3 mm long. Flowers in clusters 2–4 cm diameter. Fruit blackish, oval, 15–20 mm long.
