Dry forest and heath. Coast, ranges, and tablelands. Uncommon.
Shrub, usually to 0.40 m high. Stems clyindrical, or more or less 4-angled below the leaf nodes, covered with pale brown bristles. Leaves in whorls of 4–6, occasionally a few alternating up the stems or opposite each other, 0.3–1 cm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, upper surface warty at least near the margins, often hairy, margins rolled down. Flowers with 4 deep lilac-pink petals each 5–12.5 mm long. Sepals with glandular hairs. Flower single, stalks hairless, and 10-25 mm long. Flowering: throughout the year but mostly July–December.
