Forest, heath, and rocky areas. Ranges and tablelands south from Budawang National Park. ACT. Kosciuszko National Park. Occasionally elsewhere.
Shrub to 1 m high. Stems cylindrical, often ridged, hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, rarely irregularly opposite each other, variable in shape, 0.2–2 cm long, usually less than 5 mm wide, tips pointed or blunt, and curved upwards, margins toothed, and flat to rolled down, both surfaces usually with fine, white hairs and glandular hairs. Flowers deep lilac-pink, with 4 petals 6–11 mm long. Petals and sepals sometimes persistent at the seeding stage. Flowers single or paired, on stalks 3-7 mm long. Flowering: mostly October–January
Family was Tremandraceae.
