Where found

Dry forest. Heath in rocky, sandy or swampy sites. Coast and ranges north of Wollongong.

Notes

Shrub to 0.75 m high or sprawling. Stems more or less ridged, some stems hairless, some densely hairy with wart-based hairs. Leaves of hairless branches opposite each other or in whorls of 3 or rarely 4, usually 1–2 cm long, up to 1 mm wide, hairless or glandular-hairy, margins rolled down. Leaves of hairy branches usually in whorls of 3-5, occasionally opposite each other, 0.4–1.2 cm long, to 6 mm wide, margins flat, wavy, or more or less rolled down. Flowers deep lilac-pink with 4 petals, each 10–20 mm long. Flowers single or paired, on stalks 5-12 mm long. Flowering: mostly July–October.
