Forest and rocky areas. Coast and ranges south of Cathcart. Kosciuszko National Park.
Shrub, straggling or semi-prostrate, stems to about 0.8 m long. Stems cylindrical, often ending in a blunt point, covered with minute warts, usually hairless, sometimes with sparse long white hairs. Leaves alternating up the stems, usually reduced to scales 0.1–0.3 cm long, not persistent, occasionally leaves broad and to about 1.5 cm long. Flowers deep lilac-pink, with 4 petals each 4–10 mm long. Flowers single or paired, on stalks 2-7 mm long. Flowers Aug.–March.
