Stream banks, rocky stream beds, and shallow water. Coastal north from the Nowra district.
Annual or sometimes perennial herb, to 0.3 m high, stoloniferous. Insect traps on the 'roots', stolons, and leaves. Leaves to 5 cm long, 1.5–6 mm wide. Flowers usually lilac or violet, rarely wholly white, 5–8 mm long, the lower lip usually paler, more or less streaked with darker purple, and often with a blue margin. Flowers in a single cluster of 2–10 flowers. Flowering: most of the year.
