Woodland, grassland, and disturbed sites. Coast and ranges north of Shell Harbour. Western Slopes east of Canowindra.
Annual herb or small shrub to 0.3 m high. Stems hairy, and slightly sticky to sticky. Leaves alternating up the stems, about 0.2-2.5 cm long, 1–7 mm wide, slightly folded lengthwise, margins entire or with 1–3 small teeth, tips blunt, surfaces sparsely appressed hairy. Flower heads 5–6 mm long, with purple to white 'petals' each about 2 mm long, and yellow centres. Flowering: chiefly September
Endangered Vic.
Definite identification of most species of Vittadinia depends on microscopic examination of the seeds.
