Fakama’opo’opo

  • ‘Oku ‘ikai ke fu’u mafola ‘i he feitu’u ʻEsia, ʻOsenia. ʻi he siaine, hopa, famili ‘o e va’e’I paka, mo e lou’akau.
  • ʻOku kai e ‘unufe ‘i he kili ‘o e fuaʻiʻakau, mei he fua ki he fua hoko, pea moe taimi ‘oku mafola ai e kofu tu’a ‘o e matala hoko. Ko e siaine ‘oku maumau ‘oku tungotunga, fakapopo’uli, pea ‘oku tanea hono kili ‘i he‘ene ‘alu kihe motu’a. 
  • Founga malu’i angamaheni: ‘A’ahi fakaʻaho ki he ngoue’anga pea kimuʻa ‘ene huʻu fakalavalava ‘a e kau e matala, (i) toʻo konga pe to’o kotoa e ngaahi lau ʻi ‘olunga he matala, pea (ii) fana e fuaʻiʻakau ʻaki e vai pe efuefu tofunanga.
  • Founga malu’i ‘aki e kemikale: (i) Faito’o fakanatula: spinosad pe Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) Pekitilia (ii) Faito’o ikai fakanatula: huhu ki loto ‘aki e.g., chlorpyrifos, bifenthrin, acephate fo’I moa. ʻE lava ke hiki hake/toʻo ʻa e ngaahi kofu tu’a ‘o e matala mo e efu pe fana kimuʻa pea mapelu e fo’matala.

Common Name: Banana scab moth (kamaa).

Scientific Name: Nacoleia octasema. (Previously, Lamprosema octasema).
