Intertidal or littoral.
Caput of females gently raised, higher than thoracic portion; fovea of females more or less straight.
Eyes eight eyes; group tiny, about 0.3 of headwidth; two or three rows; back row wider; on tubercle.
Chelicerae fangs longitudinal; retromargin without teeth; middle row of teeth distinct; intercheliceral tumescence in male absent; rastellum absent or with weak spines.
Maxillae longer than wide; anterior lobe absent; serrula absent; cuspules in female few, clustered at anterior inner corner.
Labium about as wide as long; cuspules absent.
Sternum long, narrow-ovoid; with three pairs of sigilla.
Preening combs on metatarsi absent; tarsi with filiform trichobothria.
Claws two; paired claws in female with one row of teeth on the inner margin or bare; with dense tufts; tufts movable and separate.
Males usually with coupling spur on tibia I.
Scopula in females, only on tarsi and metatarsi I, II.
Cymbium with scopula.
