Distribution

Restricted to the elevated area from Stanthorpe to Wallangarra, south-eastern Qld. and in the Wallangarra area (Backwater and Torrington districts) in northern N.S.W.

Description

Shrub forming thickets. Phyllodes 4–12 mm long, abruptly narrowed at apex into a mucro. Peduncles about equal to phyllodes in length. Flower-heads golden. Pods 9–15 mm wide.

Qld: 4 km NE of Wallangarra, I.R.Telford 3147 (BRI, NSW). N.S.W.: Torrington State Recreation Area, c. 3 km NW of Carpet Snake Gap, 26 Mar. 1997, C.E.Nano & L.M.Copeland, s.n. (BRI, CANB, NSW).

Notes

Similar to A. handonis which is distinguished by asperulous-tuberculate phyllodes and pods with cartilaginous excrescences on the valves.
