Distribution

Confined to the upper catchments of the Mitchell, Norman and Gilbert Rivers, Qld.

Description

Branchlets pubescent on young plants with indumentum persisting on mature plants. Juvenile phyllodes pubescent with indumentum persisting to mature plants. Mature phyllodes lanceolate, falcate, 7–18 cm long, 5–15 (–20) mm wide, l:w 12–20, silvery-sericeous, becoming glabrescent with age. Spikes 2–6.5 cm long. Pods subterete, to 5 mm diam. Seeds to 5.5 mm long and 3.5 mm wide.

Phenology

Flowers May–Aug.

Habitat

Found on plains or hillsides, in sandy seasonally water-logged soils in open Melaleuca and eucalypt scrub or woodland, or in grasslands.
