Distribution

Known only from a few localities near Mullewa, W.A.; the type collection was made in the vicinity of Arrino which is considerably south and west of most of the other collection localities.

Description

Phyllodes linear- or oblong-oblanceolate to narrowly elliptic, normally straight to shallowly or strongly incurved, (2–) 3–7 cm long, (3–) 4–8 mm wide, acute to subulate-acuminate with ?straight, sharply to coarsely pungent points. Peduncles 5–9 (–11) mm long. Seeds glossy, brown.

Habitat

Grows on sandplains and in rocky clay.

W.A.: E of Yuna on Tenindewa road, A.M.Ashby 4515 (CANB, PERTH); 12.8 km E of Mullewa on the road to Yalgoo, B.R.Maslin 3637 (K, MEL, PERTH); 13 km E of Mullewa on the road to Yalgoo, B.R.Maslin 5077 (PERTH).

Notes

Closely resembling A. patagiata and could be confused with A. unguicula.
