Rhizome wiry, slender, sparsely clothed with pale, reddish brown hairs. Fronds 6.5–18 cm long, pendulous. Stipes widely spaced, 2–5.5 cm long, to 1 mm diam., winged almost to the base, ±glabrous; wing distinctly crisped except at its base. Lamina oblong-lanceolate, deeply 2–3-pinnatifid, 4.5–13 cm long, 2–5 cm wide; main axis with at least a slightly crisped wing. Ultimate segments 0.8–2 mm wide; margins entire, usually slightly crisped near junctions of the axes and those of lesser order. Sori mostly in the apical one-third of the lamina, borne on apices of lateral ultimate segments; sterile apex of each primary pinna rarely projecting beyond outermost sori of that pinna; involucre round, bilabiate, divided almost to the base, 1.4–2 mm diam.; margins entire or slightly irregular; receptacle included.
Endemic to Cape York Peninsula QLD.
Grows on rocks and on trees in rainforest gullies.
