Rhizome c. 0.1 mm diam.; hairs long, sparse, golden brown. Fronds 2–5 cm long. Stipes slender, 0.8–30 mm long, not winged. Lamina dichotomously branched 2–4 or more times, 1.2–3 cm long, 0.4–3.5 cm wide; branches often of unequal length; ultimate segments 1.5–2 (–3) mm wide, olive-green; margins with scattered, short, stiff, dark hairs; sterile apices blunt or emarginate. Sori terminal, immersed in the apices of ultimate segments; involucre obconic, ±bilabiate, 1.2–2 mm long, 1.2–2 mm diam.; mouth dilated; receptacle exserted to 1 mm beyond the mouth.
