Dry forest and heath. Tablelands north of Moss Vale. Coast and ranges north from Ulladulla.
Shrub, sprawling or to 2 m tall. Branchlets more or less cylindrical, resinous, hairy. Sharp-pointed 'leaves'. 'Leaves' scattered, rather crowded, often almost whorled, 0.5-1.4 cm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, more or less rigid, more or less straight, cylindrical to flattened cylindrical, surfaces hairless, leaves abruptly tapering to a sharp point. Flower heads yellow to orange, globular, 25-42 flowered, 5-11 mm in diameter, single, on stalks 5-15 mm long. Flowers Winter to Spring.
Family was Mimosaceae.
Intergrades with Acacia ulicifolia.
