Dry forest, woodland, and shrubland. Western Slopes.
Shrub or tree 0.5–4 m tall. Fleshy seed stalks/arils. Bark fissured. Branchlets angled towards the tips, resinous, densely hairy to almost hairless. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 1-4.5 cm long, 1.5-7 mm wide, hairless or sparsely hairy, shiny and/or resinous, tips rounded with a very short point. Flower heads yellow, globular, 4-7 mm in diameter, 20-30 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), single or paired. Flowering: usually August–November. Pods pale fawn-woolly to hairy.
