Dry forest and heath on hillsides and rocky outcrops, sometimes near streams. Coast and ranges. Tablelands north from Goulburn.
Tree or shrub to 5.5 m tall. Fleshy seed stalks/arils. Bark smooth, somewhat fibrous, or finely fissured. Branchlets more or less cylindrical, hairless, more or less resinous, at first covered with resin hairs towards the tips. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 5-19.5 cm long, 3-16 mm wide, leathery, surfaces hairless, midvein prominent, tips blunt or pointed, often with a mucro. Flower heads yellow, oval to cylindrical, 10-30 mm long, single or in pairs. Flowers Winter to Summer.
Family was Mimosaceae.
