Dry forest, woodland, grassy areas, disturbed sites, and near water. Mainly in the ACT. Sporadic on the tablelands and Western Slopes, and in the Sydney region.
Prostrate perennial herb to 0.05 m high. Stems to about 15 cm long, sparsely hairy. Leaves opposite each other, 0.5-5 cm long, 2-8 mm wide, almost hairless, margins sometimes with minute teeth. Flowers 2–8 mm long, white to creamy yellow or pinkish, with 5 chaffy 'petals', in globular to oval heads to 10 mm long and 5 mm wide. Heads often clustered. Flowers mostly Nov-Jan in the ACT.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
