Perennial herb with twining stems. Hairless. Leaves alternating along the stems, 3–10 cm long, 15–80 mm wide, arrow head shaped, basal lobes toothed or shallowly lobed, tips pointed. Flowers white to pale pink or mauve, about 20 mm long, trumpet-shaped, with 5 lobes. Stigma with 2 lobes. Sepals free from each other. Bracteoles oval to round, tips rounded to notched, 6–12 mm long, equal to or longer than the calyx. Flowers single. Flowering: spring–summer.
