Forest, woodland, heath, grassy areas, and rocky sites. Kosciuszko National Park, the mountains to the north, and ACT. Tablelands and ranges north from Kosciuszko National Park and Morton National Park.
Multi-stemmed perennial or annual herb to 0.6 m high. Stems sticky hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, linear, to 5 cm long. 1-4 mm wide, upper surface sparsely hairy with glandular hairs, lower surface glandular and white-woolly, margins slightly curved down, tips pointed. Flower heads with many white 'petals' and yellow centres. 'Petals' often pink to reddish in bud or towards the tips. Flower heads hemispherical, to 45 mm in diameter, single.
