Moist places and swamps in dry forest, woodland, heath, and grassland. Coast and ranges north from west of Jervis Bay, and south of Merimbula. Western Slopes.
Annual herb to 0.1 m high, rhizomatous. Leaves basal, in a rosette; 8–20 mm in diameter, almost round, very concave in cross section, abruptly narrowed to the leaf stalk, upper surface covered with glandular hairs that trap insects. Stipules more or less entire, fused to the base of the leaf stalk, 1–2.5 mm long. Petals orange or red, 4–5 mm long. Flowers in 1–8 clusters, each about 7–many-flowered, glandular; individual stalks bending down after flowering. Flowering: winter to spring.
