Woodland, grassy areas and disturbed sites. Widespread.
Introduced annual or biennial herb to 0.4 m tall or sprawling to prostrate, often remaining as a rosette. Stems hairy, slightly sticky. Leaves basal and/or opposite each other, 2-12 cm long, 10-40 mm wide, compound, hairy, often sticky. Leaflets 0.3-7 cm long, deeply dissected, margins toothed. Flowers pink to white, with 5 petals. Sepals 3-7 mm long, petals slightly longer. Flowers in 1-5 flowered clusters. Flowers Winter to Summer.
