Where found

Scattered on open swampy flats. In and near Penrose and Wingello State Forests west of Bundanoon.

Notes

Tree or mallee to 7 m tall.  Bark smooth, shedding in long ribbons.  Juvenile leaves alternating up the stems, glossy green.  Adult leaves 5-10 cm long, 20-40 mm wide, green or glaucous, dull.  Flowers white, with 0 petals.  Flowers in 7-flowered clusters.  Mature flower buds 8 mm long, caps as long as the base. Gumnuts 4-7 mm in diameter. Gumnuts that have dropped their seed have protruding valves
