Woodland, grassy areas, and disturbed sites. Snowy Mountains and the ACT. Tablelands south of the Hume Highway.
Introduced annual herb to 0.2 m tall. Stems sticky hairy. Leaves opposite each other, 0.4-2 cm long, less than 1 mm wide, narrow cylindrical or flat, sticky, with long points. Flowers with 5 pink or red notched petals 5-9 mm long. Flowers Spring.
