Dry forest and heath, often on rocky sites. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands north of Port Kembla. Old records from west of Cowra.
Shrub to 1.5 m tall. Stems flanged but not winged. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, crowded, 0.15-0.45 cm long, 0.5-0.6 mm wide, linear to cylindrical, tips usually with a minute curved point, margins entire, oil glands visible on lower surface. Flowers 6-7.5 mm in diameter, with 5 white petals, soltary, in the axils of leaves that are close together, often appearing tightly clustered. Flowers Spring to Summer.
