Notes

Shrub to 1 m high. Stems hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, 1–2 cm long, 3–6 mm wide, margins entire, flat or slightly curved down, surface hairless, shining, tips pointed to mucronate. Flowers with 5 yellow petals each 8–10 mm long. Sepals hairless. Petals 8–10 mm long. Stamens about 11, on one side of the carpels. Carpels 2, hairless. Flowers single, stalkless, at the tops of the stems or at the bases of the leaves. Flowering: spring.
