Where found

Dry forest, woodland, and heath. Coastal. Mainly in the Sydney area. One sighting in the ranges west of Dapto.

Notes

Shrub to 1.5 m tall. Stems hairy, becoming hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems or appearing clustered, 0.4-2.5 cm long, 0.5-3.2 mm wide, hairless to densely hairy with crinkly hairs, margins tightly rolled upwards to spreading, central vein usually not apparent on lower surface, tips pointed and curved down, becoming rounded or rarely squared off. Flowers 12-25 mm in diameter, with 5 yellow petalsStamens 10-12, all around the 3 hairless carpelsSepals fringed. Flowers single, stalkless, at the bases of the leaves or at the tops of the stems, mainly on short shoots. Flowers Spring-Summer.
