Heath and shrubland on dunes and hillsides. Coastal cliffs. Coastal south from Jervis Bay.
Shrub to about 2 m high. Branchles densely white-cottony, slightly sticky. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.4–4 cm long, 1–6 mm wide, upper surface weakly grey-woolly, cobwebby, or hairless, green or grey-green, lower surface grey- to white-woolly, margins curved to rolled down, tips pointed or rounded. Flower heads 3–13 mm in diameter overall, conical to cylindrical below the 'petals', with 2-6 white 'petals', the 'petals' often very short or not developing, and yellow centres. Flower heads at the bases of the leaves, single. Flowering: November–July.
