Open forest and rocky areas around riverbeds and gorges. Kosciuszko National Park, near Burrinjuck Reservoir, tablelands, and ranges.
Shrub to 1.6 m high. Branchlets hoary or silvery. Leaves alternating up the stems or opposite each other, scattered, 1.2–9 cm long, 1.5–3.5 mm wide, upper surface almost hairless, lower surface grey-woolly, margins rolled down, tips pointed and finely mucronate. Flower heads with 5–8 white 'petals', and yellow centres. Flower heads 16–26 mm in diameter overall, in loose clusters at the tops of the stems. Flowering: October–December.
