Dry forest and heath. Coast, ranges, and occasionally on the tablelands north east of Burra.
Herb or sprawling shrub to about 0.15 m high. Branches with 2 longitudinal ridges. Leaves opposite each other, 0.6–1.2 cm long, 3–6 mm wide, tips blunt to pointed; bases somewhat continuing down the stems; margins slightly rolled down; lower surface smooth. Male and female flowers on different plants. Flowers white, 4–8 mm long, tubular, the tube 3–4.8 mm long, with 5 lobes shorter than the tube. Flowers single. Flowering: spring.
