Woodland, grassland and herbfields. At altitudes higher than 1300 m. Kosciuszko National Park, the mountains to the north, and the western edge of the ACT.
Perennial herb to 0.3 m high, hairless; dying down to the rootstock every year. Stems often somewhat glaucous. Leaves opposite each other, widely spaced along the branches, 0.4–0.7 cm long, 1.8–4 mm wide, surfaces smooth, midrib impressed above, margins flat, or curved to rolled down, tips pointed to blunt. Male and female flowers on the same plant. Flowers white, with 5 white sepals each about 1 mm long and 5 white petals each abtips out 0.5 mm long. Flowers in short dense clusters about 3–8 mm in diameter. Flowers November to May.
Family was Euphorbiaceae.
