Forest. Kosciuszko National Park, the mountains to the north, and ACT. Occasional sightings elsewhere, particularly in the Blue Mountains and south to the Jenolan Caves area.
Perennial herb to 0.9 m high, sprawling at the base, branched and erect above, hairless. Basal leaves deeply dissected or compound, to 20 cm long, with a large terminal lobe, and few lateral segments, margins entire or toothed. Stem leaves alternating up the stems, becoming smaller and entire. Flowers with 4 white petals each 5–10 mm long. Flowers in elongated clusters at the tops of the stems. Flowers mostly spring–summer. 'Pods' straight or slightly curved, 1.5–6 cm long, pointing up, stalks spreading to pointing down, 8–20 mm long.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
