Annual herb to 1.2 m high, sometimes sprawling, hairless. Leaves basal and alternating up the stems, to 12 cm long, margins entire or more or less toothed with widely spaced teeth. Stem leaves with narrow and pointed basal lobes, becoming smaller. Flowers with 4 white petals each 2–5 mm long. Flowers in elongated clusters at the tops of the stems. Flowers mostly spring–summer. 'Pods' straight, 1.5–4 cm long, spreading to horizontal; stalks horizontal, 3–8 mm long.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
