Very low shrubland in alpine feldmark, alpine and subalpine herbfields, and grassland. Kosciuszko National Park. One record from the tablelands south east of Cooma
Perennial herb to 0.24 m tall or sprawling, forming loose clumps or cushions, often spreading through grasses. Flower stalk rough, or smooth and hairless, sometimes warty. Leaves opposite each other, 0.2–0.8 cm long, 0.4–0.7 mm wide, keeled, hairless, tips with a small abrupt point, margins very narrow, membranous and basally warty. Flowers green, tubular, sepals 4-5, 0.5-0.9 mm long, overlapping at the base, shorter than the tube. 0 petals. Stamen 1, enclosed within the calyx, falling early. Flowers single. Flowering: spring-summer.
