Where found

Forest in sheltered situations, disturbed sites, rocky sites, dry creek beds. Widespread.

Notes

Perennial herb or shrub to 1.5 m high. Stems 4-angled, densely covered with stalkless glands and short hairs. Leaves opposite each other, aromatic when rubbed, 1.5–11 cm long, 6–20 mm wide, tips somewhat pointed;  lower surface hairy and densely covered with stalkless glands, margins toothed, base tapering. Flowers white, 8–12 mm long, tubular, 2-lipped, with 5 lobes, in branched clusters of 3-20 flowers. Flowering: August–April.

All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
