Forest. North from Razorback south of Camden.
Shrub to about 2 m high, often scrambling, forming a tangled mass. Fruit fleshy. Stems 4-angled or longitudinally ribbed, young stems sparsely hairy, becoming hairless. Stems somewhat sticky, and with scars from fallen leaves. Leaves often reduced and scale-like, larger on young shoots, opposite each other, 0.3–2 cm long, 2–5 mm wide, margins entire or sparsely toothed, surfaces hairless. Leaves often falling early. Flowers white, 3–4 mm long, tubular, with 5 lobes. Flowers single or in few-flowered clusters. Flowering: throughout the year, but chiefly summer. Fruit orange to red, round, 2–4 mm in diameter.
Was Spartothamnella juncea. Family was Chloanthaceae.
