Forest and forest margins. Coast and ranges north from the Gosford district.
Twiner to 4 m high. Young stems densely hairy, older stems hairy or more or less hairless. Leaves opposite each other, 3–9 cm long, 15–65 mm wide, thin and soft, more or less hairless except for fine hairs along the main veins and margins, tips with fine points, bases often cordate. Flowers cream, white, or yellow to green, 6–14 mm in diameter, tubular, with 5 very narrow twisted spreading lobes. Flowers in loose, open, many-flowered branched clusters, often longer than the leaves. Flowering: spring–autumn.
Family was Asclepiadaceae.
