Heath, usually wet heath. Mainly coast and ranges north of the Kings Highway. Occasionally farther south.
Perennial herb, stems to about 5 cm long, stoloniferous. Insect traps on the 'roots', stems, and leaf stalks. Leaves few, to about 5 cm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide. Flowers pale lilac, mauve or violet, with a white or yellow spot at base of the lower lip. Flowers 4–12 mm long, 2-lipped, the upper lip oval, the tip squared off and deeply notched; the lower lip larger, approximatelyroundin outline. Flowers in one to several mostly 1–5-flowered clusters 3–30 cm long. Flowering: throughout the year.
