Burseraceae
Family Description

A family of 16-20 genera and about 600 species, pantropic; two genera occur naturally in Australia.

Genera

Canarium - A genus of about 100 species in Africa, Asia, Malesia, Australia and the Pacific islands; five species occur naturally in Australia. Hewson (1985); Leenhouts (1955a, 1955b, 1956, 1959).

Garuga - A genus of four species in Asia, Malesia, Australia and the Pacific islands; one species occurs naturally in Australia. Hewson (1985); Kalkman (1953); Leenhouts (1956).
