Stem
Conspicuous, transversely elongated speckles readily visible in the blaze. Bark rather hard and horny to cut.

Flowers
Male flowers: Inflorescence paniculate with up to 150 flowers, each flower about 2 mm diam. Stigmatic areas bilobed in female flowers. Female flowers: Flowers solitary or in few-flowered inflorescences. Hermaphrodite flowers: Inflorescences with about 5-10 flowers, each flower about 2-3 x 1 mm.
Fruit
Fruits globular, about 11-13 mm diam., endocarp pitted on the outer surface. Cotyledons broad, folded.
Seedlings
Distribution and Ecology
Occurs in CYP. Altitudinal range from sea level to 100 m. Grows in gallery forest. Also occurs in Malesia and the Solomon Islands.
