Usually flowers and fruits as a shrub about 2-4 m tall.

Two cup-shaped glands present on the underside of the leaf blade near its junction with the petiole. Leaf blades about 5.5-10 x 3-6 cm with stellate hairs on the lower surface and stellate scales or hairs on the upper surface. Stipules inconspicuous, small and caducous.

Calyx densely clothed in long stellate woolly hairs. Ovary clothed in stellate hairs which arise from the end of a projection from the ovary wall.

Endemic to CYP. Altitudinal range from near sea level to 100 m. Grows in vine thickets and monsoon forests.
